i guess it's technically week 21, but tomorrow will be 22. and i like to round ahead.
i haven't been posting as much about how i'm feeling and need to fix that today.
so...i'm good. really, really good. i'm not sick. i'm not really all that tired. i'm sleeping better than ever. and i don't have fat arms, yet. well, they aren't skinny...but they haven't gotten like 36 weeks pregnant fat. but all in good time...
my weight gain has been much better with this pregnancy. the number is MUCH smaller than with pratt. but i'm bigger. showing more, i think. i don't know how that happens.
i've noticed that my wrists and shoulders hurt some nights. from swelling, i assume. and last night i thought my feet looked a tad swollen. but my sweet husband gave me a handrub and footrub so they feel much better today. i think that's my heaven. laying on the couch, watching a movie, having him close to me, rubbing on my hands and feet. okay, i'll quit. i know you're gagging.
but i have to brag just once how pretty he makes me feel. i think it's the best gift he could ever give me. i will feel so "uck" and he will say something or do something that just blows me away. i don't give him enough credit for how good he is.
i feel him kick A LOT. all through the day. i'm having a hard time remembering it's a boy. i keep thinking girl. pratt keeps saying, "sister" and i have to remember to correct him. i was just so convinced it was a girl.
we're close to deciding on a name. it's hard. because we have a few names and we're trying to sort of narrow down the middle name, more than anything else. i think we've decided, but i still find myself wanting to say it over and over again until i am positive. in looking up word meanings, i realized that "pratt" means "talks a lot". boy does it ever!!!! so i'm trying to be really careful about this name. i'd have for it to mean something terrible. or something like, "takes off his clothes to pee in the garage", but that's probably another meaning for "pratt".
pratt, more than ever before, needs attention. i don't know what we will do when this baby gets here. i think i'll try to involve him in everything. AND be sure and do things just one on one with him. i never want him to feel neglected. i really could have spent the rest of our lives as a family of 3 and been perfectly happy. but i think as the years go by, he will love this brother. and much like how i feel about my sister, one day i hope he realizes that his brother really is his very best friend. because family rocks.
okay. i'm going to clean the house while p naps and clint hunts down the street.
i'll post a belly picture soon. happy sunday! (and hopefully a snow day!)

About Me

- i'm a girl who likes to write. not a girl that's necessarily good at writing. it's cathartic, i think. and boy do i need that from time to time. i married a wonderful man named clint in may of 2007. he is everything i am not. he is calm. he makes plans. he is organized. his truck is always clean. his clothes are hung by types of shirt/color/size/etc. i'm full of nervous energy. i'm spur of the moment. i can't ever find what i'm looking for. we live in my car...pretty much. i'm lucky if my clothes are within ten feet of my closet. God gave us a precious angel of a baby in september of 2008. his name is pratt allen. he is 2.5 years old.we have another little one on the way. his name is max wesley. and he is due may 19th. somehow i'll be the mother of two boys. craaaaa.zy. i spend my days cleaning house. picking worms and caterpillars out of the flower beds. cooking meals. shopping at target. washing clothes. playing on the floor. reading books. doing puzzles. traveling to sonic. and the library. and blogging. i hope you enjoy our blog. feel free to leave a comment. hopefully it's a nice one. i tend to wear my heart on my sleeve.

I am glad you are feeling good :) I cant wait to hear the name...then I can pray for him by name!
Brylee needs so much attention right now. I have found that she has been the hardest thing for me to adjust to. Cerly is easy. But, I have seen that as I am feeding then Brylee gets in the most trouble because I cant play with her. I am learning to have little activities set up for her before I sit down to feed Cerly, and that has helped.
Pratt and Brylee are used to being the King and Queen so we have to become super mom to keep things going-haha. Maybe I will figure a few things out before May that I can send your way...we will see. Love you dearly.
