baby lila.

{first, i want to say to a certain "dn" thank you so much for the flintstone vitamin advice!!!  i went out and bought some today.  and i'm sure i'll be feeling better in no time at all.  my bowels thank you :)  as does my husband too...who is really tired of hearing me complain.  he says hello :)}

okay, just the other day i was complaining about needing bigger toes.  and wishing the overwhelming sense of a dirty home would go away.

i said something about it on facebook and got several comments about how i was a whiney baby.  not really.  but i am super sensitive and that's how it felt.  really, one person said that it would only get worse.  that with a toddler AND a newborn, i'd really be complaining.  the person was just being honest, i know.  and didn't mean to hurt my feelings.  but i'm like a 6 year old, and i can't help it.  i wanted to reply back that i was really just giving a status update, but figured it didn't matter.  trust me, i KNOW that i won't be able to handle a toddler and a newborn.  i barely made it with one newborn.  but i keep telling myself that pratt really is like my bff these days and that i can convince him to help me out.  okay, totally different post.

that was all yesterday.

and then today, i saw where several friends were commenting to another friend, rebecca, that they were praying for her and her sweet baby girl.  rebecca went to ouachita with me and while i haven't kept up with everything in her life, i did know that she was expecting baby number 2.  a girl.  right around the same times as me.  actually, i think she's 2 weeks earlier than me.  which puts her at around 25 weeks, i think.

after checking out her blog, i found that yes, she was around 25 weeks.  and after seeing her facebook post tonight, around 2 am, i realized that her baby, lila elizabeth had been born today.  she posted a picture of her footprints.  they are the smallest footprints i've ever seen.

i was reminded immediately that life is precious.  and things that are totally and completely out of our control happen every single day. i don't know what has happened with baby lila.  i'm not sure if rebecca had any idea of what was happening or not.  i think it's all irrelevant.

i'm asking you to pray for her.  and that baby.  because i know that she has a long road ahead of her.

but i also know my God.  and i know he performs miracles every single day.  so please pray for her doctors, her nurses, her family, etc.

i'm sure they would appreciate it.

i like when you are real. i never once thought that you whining. if anything, reading what you write makes me feel better. because life is not all glittery. sure there are sprarkles, but the little rips and tears are there too.

if life was all full of sparkles everyone and everything would be so boring.

please don't stop being real. i need to hear it. and i bet others out there do too.

About Me

My photo
i'm a girl who likes to write. not a girl that's necessarily good at writing. it's cathartic, i think. and boy do i need that from time to time. i married a wonderful man named clint in may of 2007. he is everything i am not. he is calm. he makes plans. he is organized. his truck is always clean. his clothes are hung by types of shirt/color/size/etc. i'm full of nervous energy. i'm spur of the moment. i can't ever find what i'm looking for. we live in my car...pretty much. i'm lucky if my clothes are within ten feet of my closet. God gave us a precious angel of a baby in september of 2008. his name is pratt allen. he is 2.5 years old.we have another little one on the way. his name is max wesley. and he is due may 19th. somehow i'll be the mother of two boys. craaaaa.zy. i spend my days cleaning house. picking worms and caterpillars out of the flower beds. cooking meals. shopping at target. washing clothes. playing on the floor. reading books. doing puzzles. traveling to sonic. and the library. and blogging. i hope you enjoy our blog. feel free to leave a comment. hopefully it's a nice one. i tend to wear my heart on my sleeve.
