cupcake. and other things.

yesterday mom took us on a date.  she bought us tickets to see "if you give a pig a pancake" at the children's theater at the arkansas arts museum.

but first...we went in for my 32 week ob visit.  nothing new.  i literally walked in there at 1025 for my 1030 appointment.  and i was back in the waiting room with mom and pratt by 1040.  he scheduled me back for 2 weeks.  it's crazy.  this pregnancy has FLOWN by.  i think it's because pratt has been there to keep me occupied.

after the appointment, we went to the learning express toy store.  over at pleasant ridge.  it's the greatest toy store.  pratt kept running from toy to toy in shock...UNTIL he found the perfect petzzz.  and then he  was stuck on them for the rest of the time.

in typical cookie fashion, she bought him one.  a black and white kitten.  it purrs and breaths and looks so real that i've stopped dead in my tracks several times since yesterday for fear i was going to wake it up.  cookie named it cupcake.  and pratt thought that was a great name.

i mean, can you tell how proud he is!?  he loves her.  like, so much so that we ate at chick fil a right after we got her.  he begged to take her in.  but we said that pets weren't allowed.  so we went in, ate, and he went down the slide 2 times.  then he came running out asking if we could leave so he could hold his kitty cat.  YES!  didn't want to trade in his book for ice cream.  didn't want to play anymore.  just wanted the cat.

here are he and cookie waiting on the play to start.  he loved it.  it was so sweet to watch him giggle at the pig.  and laugh at the silly jokes.

when we got home, he carried cupcake everywhere he went.  here she is on his b.

he would hug her.  and then make me hug her.  as mom said, "it's the best 30 dollars i've ever spent".  seriously.  i couldn't agree more.  she slept with him last night.  curled up (because that's all she can do) on his pillow.  this morning when he came in our room, he had her with him.  her bed, her and her food and water.

we bought donuts and apple juice for her this morning at shipley's and he told everyone he met today that he had a new kitty cat named cupcake.

he gets his love of animals honestly.  my entire family are suckers for animals.  and his daddy is too.  and his daddy's daddy is too.  and his grandpa joe.  so at least his love is normal.  and not weird.

because it's not weird at all that he loves a fake cat.  nope.  not at all.

thanks again cookie for a wonderful thursday.  we really did have so much fun!

I wish I had taken a picture of him waiting anxiously for the sales clerk to get his "Cupcake". He was so excited.

have you been to cracker barrel lately? my neighbor's little boy just got a butterfly in a jar. its a robot tiny butterfly(but its very realistic) and whenever you tap the jar he flys around. Pratt needs its. Maybe for Easter....

About Me

My photo
i'm a girl who likes to write. not a girl that's necessarily good at writing. it's cathartic, i think. and boy do i need that from time to time. i married a wonderful man named clint in may of 2007. he is everything i am not. he is calm. he makes plans. he is organized. his truck is always clean. his clothes are hung by types of shirt/color/size/etc. i'm full of nervous energy. i'm spur of the moment. i can't ever find what i'm looking for. we live in my car...pretty much. i'm lucky if my clothes are within ten feet of my closet. God gave us a precious angel of a baby in september of 2008. his name is pratt allen. he is 2.5 years old.we have another little one on the way. his name is max wesley. and he is due may 19th. somehow i'll be the mother of two boys. craaaaa.zy. i spend my days cleaning house. picking worms and caterpillars out of the flower beds. cooking meals. shopping at target. washing clothes. playing on the floor. reading books. doing puzzles. traveling to sonic. and the library. and blogging. i hope you enjoy our blog. feel free to leave a comment. hopefully it's a nice one. i tend to wear my heart on my sleeve.
