lunch at the park.

(in the voice of kip dynamite), "today was uh...probably one of the best days of my life."

here's what happened...

one. this morning, pratt took a 3 hour nap. allowing me to clean the kitchen, get all the laundry done, do yoga, shower and get everything ready for our lunch date with dad. oh...and pack a picnic basket for our upcoming trip to chattanooga!

two years ago, i couldn't have done one of those things in 3 hours. honestly. i was so slow. i'm like a ninja now. tis true.

two. upon checking out at the public library, i was told that my "hold" book was in! the hunger games! woot woot! i can't really give you any advice about it. other than that it came highly recommended by my good friend allyson.

it is also a ken stamatis recommeded book. for those of you who don't know dr. stamatis. he's a professor at harding. oddly enough, he was clint's english teacher one year at beebe. and he's the creator of literacy lab. all you teachers know what that is. the series is on his 2009 summer reading list.

and allyson...well, allyson is a sweet friend who loves to read as much...maybe more...than i do. she's extremely intelligent...and is a school teacher. the best job out there, in my opinion.

three. when we got to dad's office, he suggested we put the leftovers in the fridge, drive through and get lunch somewhere and eat at the park. so we did!

four.
baby whitney was born and is doing well. so are mom, dad and big sister mary. we love you guys! and we can't wait to meet sweet baby whitney!

pratt had the best day ever. eating dad's chips, drinking mango tea (he only had a few sips), seeing a bunch of little fish in the pond and sliding down the slide THREE whole times with dad!

so thanks dad for a wonderful lunch date. we're so lucky to have you as our dad.

we love you.

Cute pictures. I think it is so cute how Brandon and Clint pose for pictures for us! It's like they know we will need them for the blog, so they participate. We are lucky.

About Me

My photo
i'm a girl who likes to write. not a girl that's necessarily good at writing. it's cathartic, i think. and boy do i need that from time to time. i married a wonderful man named clint in may of 2007. he is everything i am not. he is calm. he makes plans. he is organized. his truck is always clean. his clothes are hung by types of shirt/color/size/etc. i'm full of nervous energy. i'm spur of the moment. i can't ever find what i'm looking for. we live in my car...pretty much. i'm lucky if my clothes are within ten feet of my closet. God gave us a precious angel of a baby in september of 2008. his name is pratt allen. he is 2.5 years old.we have another little one on the way. his name is max wesley. and he is due may 19th. somehow i'll be the mother of two boys. craaaaa.zy. i spend my days cleaning house. picking worms and caterpillars out of the flower beds. cooking meals. shopping at target. washing clothes. playing on the floor. reading books. doing puzzles. traveling to sonic. and the library. and blogging. i hope you enjoy our blog. feel free to leave a comment. hopefully it's a nice one. i tend to wear my heart on my sleeve.
