early, early this morning.

we're 98 days away from our due date. i've always really liked that number. almost to the point of always shooting for a 98 and not a 100. because a 100 seems so impossible. i mean, who ever really knows everything.

anyway...that's beside the point. i woke this morning around 5 am. probably because i had really good intentions to go to the gym and then go for a swim. before it got too hot. it didn't happen. but i did get out of bed. i realized that i was starving. this may be because i had eaten dinner around 630...and then not really eaten anything after that. well, i did have some sour patch kids, but those don't really count. because they aren't anything but sugar. and sugar doesn't count as food. it would be counted as fun.

so i sneak downstairs (after lots of loud grunting to roll out of bed). now, it's dark at 5. and i slept in my contacts. i didn't use any eyedrops...so my eyes are basically stuck together. so i'm seriously feeling my way down the hallway, down the stairs. i get to the kitchen and without even thinking about it...i walk over to the pantry and pull out a half eaten bag of hostess donettes. you know the ones. the really soft donuts that are covered in powdered sugar. they have like 20 grams of fat for 6 of them. they are one of my dad's favorite snacks. and i've actually never bought them at the grocery store. because i know that they're pointless to eat...no nutritional value. but i bought them...because i'm pregnant. and i wanted them. and i bought them at kroger after the walmart incident that has completely scarred me for life.

so i tear open this bag...still eyes completely shut. and i just cram as many as i can into my mouth. i looked like that japanese guy who crams sushi rolls in his mouth as practice for the hot dog eating competition. they tasted so dang good. i had probably eaten around 6 when i began to choke. fixed that. i took a drink right out of the orange juice jug. didn't even use a cup! which is sooo not like me. i always use a cup. it completely grosses me out to think that anyone would put their mouth on that thing. (this should give you some insight into my state of mind).

i toss one more beautiful donette into my mouth before i sneak back upstairs. crawl in the bed. and after about thirty seconds of grunting, i get comfortable. the tv sheds just enough light for me to see something white and flaky on my chest. i take my finger and wipe it. and i just fell out laughing.

powdered sugar. i can't lie...i totally licked the sugar off my finger and fell fast asleep. i can't remember, but i bet i had a really good dream after that.

THAT is hilarious!!!! Those little donuts are so good though. I remember my mom buying them when I still lived at their house. I would get out of bed easier in the mornings if I knew the little donuts were for breakfast. Isn't that sad! Oh well...whatever! LOL

Have you ever seen the Dave Chapelle show....crack guy...with the white powder all over his face? Anyway, that's how I look after eating powdered donuts, and I wish I could have seen you!

you know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams. - dr. seuss

About Me

My photo
i'm a girl who likes to write. not a girl that's necessarily good at writing. it's cathartic, i think. and boy do i need that from time to time. i married a wonderful man named clint in may of 2007. he is everything i am not. he is calm. he makes plans. he is organized. his truck is always clean. his clothes are hung by types of shirt/color/size/etc. i'm full of nervous energy. i'm spur of the moment. i can't ever find what i'm looking for. we live in my car...pretty much. i'm lucky if my clothes are within ten feet of my closet. God gave us a precious angel of a baby in september of 2008. his name is pratt allen. he is 2.5 years old.we have another little one on the way. his name is max wesley. and he is due may 19th. somehow i'll be the mother of two boys. craaaaa.zy. i spend my days cleaning house. picking worms and caterpillars out of the flower beds. cooking meals. shopping at target. washing clothes. playing on the floor. reading books. doing puzzles. traveling to sonic. and the library. and blogging. i hope you enjoy our blog. feel free to leave a comment. hopefully it's a nice one. i tend to wear my heart on my sleeve.
