yesterday was no exception. we woke up late (super tired from all sugar's wedding festivities on saturday...pictures pictures pictures to come!) and stayed in our pjs pretty much all day long. well, pratt did. yes, i'm that mom. :)
pratt enjoyed lots of leftover fruit from the wedding. there must have been 50 blackberries...and he ate those in pretty much one sitting. i was trying to clean the kitchen while he was occupied, and i looked up and saw him holding his bowl at his chest, scooping up the fruit.

his new camo bib. that has sleeves. yes, sleeves. it's the best.

and here is a video of him eating. at one point it sounds like he says, "pineapple". see for yourself. be warned it's kind of like that stuff on ghost hunters. where you really must close your eyes and listen extremely carefully to hear it. but as his mom...i'm pretty sure he's at least trying to say it :) i know, probably not...but just act like you know what i mean... (it's at 37 seconds.)
while dad met with our small group for an our house dinner in little rock, pratt and i took an extra long bath. well, he did. i didn't. he's at the point where he's extremely mobile in the bathtub. he can crawl around in there pretty well. i still sit right there by him...but i am much more comfortable now with him in there. he probably stayed for 30 minutes last night. i had to run warm water twice. he loves the bath.
i have a great video of him crawling as fast as he can to the bathroom when he hears his bathwater running. i'll upload it today. it's so great.

he loves to point at things and verbalize. that's exactly what he's doing here. pointing at the book...and i assume he's saying, "look mom..it's a little boy. kind of looks like me. will you read this to me?"

he's outgrown so many of his pjs. nana bought him some new ones at the gap. my favorite jammies. and i was opening them to get them washed and ready for him when i realized how big they looked. the worst part...they actually fit him! when did he get so grown up?

dad and i ended the night by finishing up our new "parlor room" as kristin called it. the walls are a very light grey, blue. the color was "olympic white" from sherwin williams. a great, great color if you're looking for something grey/blue.
in the picture below, clint is showing the difference between his technique in painting (top left...clean, squares, neat painting) and my...um "technique"...the bottom right. i just sort of wing it...and roll wherever i feel like it. needless to say, my walls needed 2 coats..his only one.
and here is what pratt and ace did while we painted. so cute.

I totally heard the word pineapple!! What a smart fella! Love the blog update on him and you guys. And I LOVE that color. Olympic white doesn't sound blue/grey at all....who names these things??
I totally heard it too... the..."..apple" part was very distinctive!!!
lol. My favorite part is your reaction. I made Kyle come and listen, and we heard it too. He's a genius. Thanks for the updates!
I heard pineapple too and being a grandmother, that makes me an EXPERT, hence you now have an expert opinion! LOL!!! He's too cute!
YES! at .37 he says pineapple. I told Tyler that I bet for the next minute and 13 (or whatever- I don't do math) that you only said "pineapple" for the rest of the video trying to get him to say it again...sure enough...
"pineapple...pineapple" LOVE IT!
