i'm 107 days away from my due date. that may seem like a long time.
IT'S NOT.
especially when you consider that with every day i get a little bigger. seriously. i'm cool with that. i am comfortable with my body pregnant. is it weird seeing myself get bigger and bigger (in more areas than one?), yes. it is.
but i also recognize what my body is doing. how amazing it is that i can grow a baby. A BABY! a human being. a little pratt. the first time around, i felt differently. i mean, i knew it was a baby...but now, now i realize that it's this child. this child who will eventually be 2.5 years old. and talking my ears off. with his own little personality. crazy town, i tell ya.
and so with every stretch of my skin, i remember that. i'm not one of those people who thinks i'll ever look the same as before. i'm not giving myself an excuse to sit on the couch the rest of my life and eat bon bons.
BUT. what i am saying is that i will have had 2 children. 2! birthed 2 babies. and so if my body is different, then so be it. i'm lucky because clint loves me. he loves me with stretch marks or without. he loves me even though every night i complain about my lack of BMs.
this is probably (or definitely) too much information. but why hold back now? anyway, the other night i got in bed and said,
clint. this is not a come on. i'm not trying to make out. but....if i take off all my clothes will you scratch me with my round brush? all over. specifically on my love handles.
needless to say, he didn't do it. because 1. it was a weird request and 2. let's be honest. "love handles" doesn't turn any man on. i think his exact words were, "no, hannah. that's weird. don't ever ask me to do that again."
but i mean, i just itch all over. from the stretching i guess. and no amount of lotions help. when i was in high school, i tanned. in a tanning bed. shocker. i know. it's horrible. i can't believe i did it. but i did. anyway, sometimes my chest would itch afterwards. it was then i knew i was good and burned. that's what this feels like. like i've been in the tanning bed. and been burned to a crisp. i just want to scratch all day long. and kick my leg like a dog while scratching.
we're getting pratt's new room ready. moving him to a different room with different furniture. well, he will have his same big boy bed. but we're in the process of painting furniture for him. and we're getting rid of the playroom. moving the shelving to his room. dividing the toys up into both rooms. pratt's and max's. the playroom is becoming a workout room. my parents gave us a bowflex for christmas. and well, let's just say that we're excited about it! and we think it needs a room of its own.
okay. i'm gonna try to pick up around here. so that when clint gets home he doesn't think all i do is sit on the couch and eat bon bons all day. because i don't. i don't even like bon bons. i prefer oreos. duh.

About Me
- hannah
- i'm a girl who likes to write. not a girl that's necessarily good at writing. it's cathartic, i think. and boy do i need that from time to time. i married a wonderful man named clint in may of 2007. he is everything i am not. he is calm. he makes plans. he is organized. his truck is always clean. his clothes are hung by types of shirt/color/size/etc. i'm full of nervous energy. i'm spur of the moment. i can't ever find what i'm looking for. we live in my car...pretty much. i'm lucky if my clothes are within ten feet of my closet. God gave us a precious angel of a baby in september of 2008. his name is pratt allen. he is 2.5 years old.we have another little one on the way. his name is max wesley. and he is due may 19th. somehow i'll be the mother of two boys. craaaaa.zy. i spend my days cleaning house. picking worms and caterpillars out of the flower beds. cooking meals. shopping at target. washing clothes. playing on the floor. reading books. doing puzzles. traveling to sonic. and the library. and blogging. i hope you enjoy our blog. feel free to leave a comment. hopefully it's a nice one. i tend to wear my heart on my sleeve.

I secretly love the moving room phase. I love setting things up - I'm so ready...I can feel that nesting thing happening.
And, also? You make me laugh. Thanks for that.
One, you crack me up. There is simply no one this side of heaven like you. Secondly, Max? How did I miss the name of this sweet new baby?? I love it! And you.
