mom got pratt his game. the headband game. something like that. by garanimals. well, in clint's words, "he's freaky good at it".
we've played...maybe 3 times. he's probably seen 75% of the cards one time. and he's got it DOWN. like, down.
like if you've ever played trivial pursuit with me...well, you can tell pratt is my child when you play the headband game because he acts JUST.LIKE.ME during tp. (my all time favorite game in the whole entire world).
the game is what you would imagine it to be.
you put a card on the headband that he can't see and doesn't know what it is. then you have to give him clues so he can figure it out. and he does the same for you.
he's a pro. a master. he's the bomb.com at it.
i kept telling clint he was good at it. but i think he just kinda blew it off.
until tonight. when they played together. and apparently pratt rocked out the clue giving.
for ball. his clues were something like, "it's round. it's in the air. it has a string you hold on to. but it's not a kite."
the other day i had kite on my head. his clues for that: "this is something that is diamond shaped. it has a string attached. and it flies in the air. you don't fly it like an airplane. but it flies. the wind flies it. and it rhymes with light."
and it's like clint said. we never really had to explain to him that you can't tell the person the word. or use it while explaining. it's gotta be a secret. he just knew that. i think it's from all those "tell me about something" games in the car.
i don't know that he will be able to use these skills in a classroom next year...but his parents are TOTALLY impressed with them. smart little booger.
and yes. i know. i sound like the parent who went on and on about how her kid starting singing "eieio" when she saw the mcdonalds sign. but whatever. i can brag on him if i want. it's my blog. and it really is kinda creepy how good he is at giving clues.
which totally made me think about maybe getting clue the game!!!!! my second favorite game in the whole entire world!!!!!
thanks mom for the game. needles to say, he loved it.

Good Lawd that boy is smart!
Tonight he was giving pop pop clues for "flower". Clue was "it smells good and bees go to it to get nectar". He is a genius.
