the baby's bedding

so i went ahead and bought the bedding. i did it because i didn't know how long it would take to arrive. i was all excited about doing the bedding with my mother's help. she bought me a sewing machine a while back and i wanted to make everything for the bed.

clint thought this was hilarious. he has good reason to laugh. several years ago, i learned how to knit. and i began buying yarn all the time. expensive, cheap...and everything in between. i was (and still am probably) infamous for promising scarves...and never really delivering. story of my life, i suppose.
anyway...i guess clint thinks that i'll do the bedding about like i did the scarves. half done. i have so many scarves that are about the length of my arm. i'd get bored with the pattern or the yarn. and find something more interesting. i'd bind it off, and that would be the end of it.

long drive to a small house: i ordered the bedding instead of attempting to make it myself. i know that it would have been too difficult a first project for me...but my mother would be able to do it. but i guess i'll start with something small. like maybe a pillowcase or something. :)

anyway..here is the bedding. it's simple. and elegant. not too fancy. and it doesn't scream boy. so i could use it again. which would be great.

The bedding is beautiful, Hannah. Very classic.

I'll look forward to seeing your first sewing project. :)

About Me

My photo
i'm a girl who likes to write. not a girl that's necessarily good at writing. it's cathartic, i think. and boy do i need that from time to time. i married a wonderful man named clint in may of 2007. he is everything i am not. he is calm. he makes plans. he is organized. his truck is always clean. his clothes are hung by types of shirt/color/size/etc. i'm full of nervous energy. i'm spur of the moment. i can't ever find what i'm looking for. we live in my car...pretty much. i'm lucky if my clothes are within ten feet of my closet. God gave us a precious angel of a baby in september of 2008. his name is pratt allen. he is 2.5 years old.we have another little one on the way. his name is max wesley. and he is due may 19th. somehow i'll be the mother of two boys. craaaaa.zy. i spend my days cleaning house. picking worms and caterpillars out of the flower beds. cooking meals. shopping at target. washing clothes. playing on the floor. reading books. doing puzzles. traveling to sonic. and the library. and blogging. i hope you enjoy our blog. feel free to leave a comment. hopefully it's a nice one. i tend to wear my heart on my sleeve.
