max at two.

yesterday we had max's 2nd birthday.

it was a choo choo train party.  you know, choo choo max is turning 2.  and he loves to say choo choo. and he loves trains.  so pretty much, win/win.

my friend katie russell took pictures.  i'll upload them when i get them from her.

but before next weeks' busy week, i wanted to remember a few things about max.  and about this birthday.  and him.

he is, hands down, the sweetest boy i have ever known.

he loves to help.  be it picking up or handing someone something that belongs to them (pratt's b or jacket or cup).  he's just kind.  and sweet.

his mother's day out teacher always told me this, but i didn't believe her.  well, this morning after helping in the church nursery, i believe her.  he really is the sweetest.

he has blue/grey eyes.  but there is a little speck on his right eye...towards his nose...where it's golden colored.  like an orange almost.  it's the only place that looks that way.  and i see it each time i look at him closely.

he is walking and running a lot better.  we started therapy and he seems to like it.  just the physical part. we haven't started the speech part yet.

he loves pratt.  and dogs.  and yoda.  and all insects outside.  he has no fear of bugs/moths/butterflies/etc.  and will literally walk up to anything and try to grab it.

he laughs hard.  if someone is laughing, he joins in.  he loves chicken pho.  and noodles.  and ice cream.  and frozen yogurt sticks.  he loves watermelon and gets it all over him.  he loves the waterhose outside.  and digging in the dirt.  and his favorite is to turn the water hose on and THEN dig in the wet dirt/mud.

he loves the library.  and sonic tea wrapped in duct tape (thank you uncle ty ty).  he loves noodle mac n cheese.  and carrots in ranch.

he loves to hug.  and smile.  and say cheese.  he has started really calling for me.  yelling, "mamaaaaaa!!!" when he needs me.  and when he wakes from a nap.  he wakes in the morning around 730.  naps at 1230.  wakes around 230 or 3.  and hits the hay at 730.  sometimes 7.  sometimes 8.  listen, if he isn't feeling the urge to sleep, you might as well keep him up.  because he's not like pratt and won't just lay in the bed.  that's called being "post colic".  ughhhh.

tomorrow he has his tonsils out.  at ach.  and i'm nervous.  but i know he will be in good hands.  still nervous.  he's my baby.

i'm attaching a picture i took of him tonight.  he might be the prettiest 2 year old i know.  yes, yes he is.

About Me

My photo
i'm a girl who likes to write. not a girl that's necessarily good at writing. it's cathartic, i think. and boy do i need that from time to time. i married a wonderful man named clint in may of 2007. he is everything i am not. he is calm. he makes plans. he is organized. his truck is always clean. his clothes are hung by types of shirt/color/size/etc. i'm full of nervous energy. i'm spur of the moment. i can't ever find what i'm looking for. we live in my car...pretty much. i'm lucky if my clothes are within ten feet of my closet. God gave us a precious angel of a baby in september of 2008. his name is pratt allen. he is 2.5 years old.we have another little one on the way. his name is max wesley. and he is due may 19th. somehow i'll be the mother of two boys. craaaaa.zy. i spend my days cleaning house. picking worms and caterpillars out of the flower beds. cooking meals. shopping at target. washing clothes. playing on the floor. reading books. doing puzzles. traveling to sonic. and the library. and blogging. i hope you enjoy our blog. feel free to leave a comment. hopefully it's a nice one. i tend to wear my heart on my sleeve.
